Why Couples Should do a Private Last Dance

In the midst of wedding planning, you’ve probably thought a lot about you and your partner’s first dance as a married couple. But, have you thought about your last dance? If not, we’re here to tell you that you should definitely be considering having a private last dance with your new spouse. And, we’ve got four great reasons why.

Time to Yourselves

The absolute best reason to have a private last dance is to have a few minutes with just each other. You will be busy on your wedding day; a private last dance is an awesome opportunity to slow down and spend a few quality minutes together. There will be no guests around, so you won’t feel the pressure to put on a show or entertain anyone. You’ll be able to focus solely on having fun with your new spouse.

Amazing Photo Op

A private last dance makes for an excellent photo opportunity! You’ll be able to get photos of just you and your spouse. In addition, you’ll be able to get photos of your empty venue at night. Unlike your first dance, your photographer will have much more space to work with, and there will be no one else in the photos! Plus, you don’t have to do the last dance in the same place as your first dance. Choose whatever location you love most at your venue!

Video Footage

Similarly, a private last dance provides stunning video footage. This will be the only opportunity for the two of you to be videoed dancing alone, which is something you’ll look back on and cherish. The emotions of your wedding day being almost over and being on the brink of starting your lives together – so sweet!

Prep Time

Another major benefit of having a last dance is that it gives your guests and vendors time to prepare for your grand exit. And trust us, that can take a while after all night at an open bar! Instead of just waiting around while everyone gets ready, use that time to dance with your new husband/wife. This gives everyone plenty of time to get in line and light the sparklers (or whatever exit you have planned) and allows the vendors enough time to get in place.

At this point, we hope we’ve convinced you to have a private last dance on your wedding day. But either way, we’d love to hear your thoughts! Comment below or come hang out with us on Facebook and Instagram.
