What’s Your Wedding Style?

Do you know what your wedding style is? If not, we’re here to help! Figuring out your wedding style is one of the first things you should do before you start wedding planning and booking your vendors. It will give you a clearer picture of what your wedding will look like and help you in choosing vendors that match your style and vision. Let’s break it down:

Traditional

When you picture your wedding day, do you see everyone dressed to the nines, a ballroom, a princess gown, and a formal sit down dinner? If so, you’re the traditional bride!

Bohemian

Your wedding style may be boho if you want a romantic, whimsical feel to describe your wedding day. Picture earthy tones in a garden or other outdoor setting. Oh, and lots and lots of flowers ????

Modern

If you picture your wedding having a lot of sleek lines, contemporary lighting, and taking place in an open warehouse venue, your wedding style is most likely modern. Simple decor, monochrome color schemes, and modern, geometric wedding cakes are all characteristics of this style that you’ll love.

Minimal

Less is more! Modern and minimal weddings tend to go hand in hand. Minimal weddings usually feature neutral color schemes, lots of white and negative space, and lots of greenery. You’ll also have a lot less decor to buy with this style of wedding, since the whole point is minimalism. This is a trend we are definitely on board with!

Rustic

Rustic weddings are for you if you picture a more casual, relaxed feel to your wedding. Your ideal venue is likely a barn, ranch, farm, or somewhere else where you can incorporate the outdoors. As far as rustic wedding decor, think lots of wood (shiplap!), lace, burlap, mason jars, and florals. This style has been very popular over the last few years and we don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon!

Beach

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Beach weddings feature a ceremony and/or reception that takes place on the beach or in a venue on the beach. You can choose to keep decor classic and neutral while the ocean-view takes centerstage, or include nautical elements and decor. This style is also usually pretty laid-back. If you’re the bride, you can even get away with walking down the aisle barefoot! Sign us up!

Choosing your wedding style early on will help you keep all the elements of your wedding consistent throughout the planning process. Don’t be afraid to be different, and choose a style that is true to who you are.
