Everything You Need To Prep Your Bridal Suite
There are so many details that go into wedding planning! Just when you think you’ve got everything covered, you remember one more thing you’ve yet to plan. Which is why we’re bringing you this post about what you need to prep your bridal suite for the ultimate getting-ready party! Or, use it as a list to give to your Maid of Honor and have her take over the set up. That’s what best friends are for, right?!
Food
Let’s start with the most important item- food! Typically you will begin getting ready for your wedding day pretty early, so have some breakfast items laid out to munch on. Donuts, pastries, fruit, and bagels are all good options; not too messy and easy to self serve. You could also include some snacks for later in the afternoon as well.
Drinks
Okay, okay, this one may be equally as important as food. You and your bridesmaids need some drinks aka mimosas! While you don’t want to drink too much before the wedding, have fun and calm the nerves by having some champs with your girls. In addition, make sure to have plenty of water to last throughout the day. It’s a great idea to switch off between water and alcoholic beverages. Pace yourselves, ladies!
Band-Aids
Because it’s better to be safe than sorry. If someone accidentally gets cut, you’ll need a band-aid asap to make sure they aren’t getting blood on important items like a bridesmaids dress, or worse, your wedding gown. Also, band-aids come in super handy for blisters from gorgeous but painful heels you might be wearing. Band-aids save the day by letting you dance all night long!
Phone Chargers
Everyone has that one friend (or bridesmaid) that can’t live without her phone. Having some phone chargers in your bridal suite will prevent any dead phone freakouts, and bridesmaids “quickly” running back to their room to get theirs. Alternatively, send out a text to all your bridesmaids reminding them to bring their own.
Safety Pins
A bridesmaids’ dress strap breaks. Enough said. But if you’re really handy, a mini sewing kit could be helpful as well.
Seating
Coordinate with your hotel or venue to get extra seating for your bridal suite. You want your bridesmaids (and yourself) to have plenty of room to relax! As well as somewhere for each person to sit while they get their hair and makeup done.
Hangers
There are two main reasons you want plenty of hangers in your bridal suite. One, you don’t want the dresses to get wrinkled. Two, you want to get a gorgeous picture of your wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses hanging together! Tip: no one wants to see wire or plastic hangers in the photo.
Steamer
Again, no wrinkles!!!!
Music and Speaker
Getting ready in your bridal suite should be a pre-wedding party with your best friends- make it fun! Put together an awesome, girly playlist and bring a speaker to set the tone for the day. Drinks, food, good music, best friends… Can we come?!
